Kentucky WR Target Eyes Decision Date

It’s been an eventful summer for the Kentucky football recruiting operation. Good news and bad news seems to come in alternating waves. What will happen when Dallas Dickerson announces his decision?
A three-star wide receiver from Georgia, Dickerson is publicly committing on Tuesday, June 24. He will be choosing between Kentucky, Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma.
The Wildcats secured the final official visit, despite a late push from Florida. Dickerson actually canceled his trip to Gainesville to get to Lexington a week earlier. That feels like a great sign for Kentucky; however, Oklahoma is not going away. There’s also one more factor that KSR learned today.
Dickerson helped North Oconee win its first Georgia 4A State Title in December. If that high school’s name is familiar, it’s because former Georgia Bulldog David Pollack is an assistant coach. The school in Athens had a Georgia wide receiver commit and a quarterback by the name of Harrison Faulkner. His father is Buster Faulkner, the Georgia Tech offensive coordinator who was on the Kentucky hot board before Mark Stoops hired Bush Hamdan. Could that connection be an ace in the hole for the Yellow Jackets?

This recruitment feels like a traditional high school recruitment. Dickerson has kept everyone guessing. At one point last week, Dickerson was reported to be officially visiting four different schools. He ultimately ended up in Lexington, but that sort of uncertainty has made this a difficult race to handicap.
Dickerson only has three stars next to his name, but he’s a Top-500 talent with bonafide speed that translates to the next level. The 6-foot-1 athlete has been clocked at a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and 10.36 in the 100 meters.
Kentucky is trending in the right direction for QB Matt Ponatoski. Securing a speedy commitment to pair with the outstanding passer would deliver an exceptional 1-2 punch for the Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting class.
