Kentucky football defeated No. 10 Florida 20-13 inside Kroger Field Saturday night for the first time since 1986—something that’ll certainly bode well when selling their pitch to recruits.

Speaking of, here’s how those already committed prospects fared in their own right over the weekend:

2022 Kentucky Football Commits:

Kiyaunta Goodwin: 5-Star OT, Charlestown (IN)

Goodwin and Charlestown won their fifth-straight victory, defeating Corydon Central 47-0. Charlestown’s rushing attack averaged five yards per carry, scoring five times behind Goodwin and the rest of the offensive line.

Tyreese Fearbry: 4-Star Edge Rusher, Perry Traditional Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)

Perry Traditional Academy was off this Friday after losing to Brashear 32-18 on Sept. 24. Fearbry and PTA will welcome conference opponent Taylor Allderice Monday night and then travel to Carrick on Thursday.

Keaten Wade: 4-Star LB, Summit (Spring Hill, TN)

Keaton Wade rushed nine times Friday night for 85 yards and one touchdown.

“It wasn’t designed to be a pitch,” Kentucky football commit Keaton Wade said about the play above. “That was just Destin (Wade) doing his stuff and me being aware. It was just a sweet read and I was on the outside playing decoy, and he pitched it and I saw the ball in there and just made a play.”

Destin Wade: 4-Star ATH, Summit (Spring Hill, TN)

Destin Wade rushed for 264 yards and three touchdowns to lead Summit over Ravenwood 49-28. He also completed 6-8 passing for 73 yards.

Below are some highlights:

Grant Bingham: 4-Star OT, Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY)

Johnson Central defeated Clay County 42-6 three days after losing their head coach Jim Matney following his battle with COVID-19. The Golden Eagles honored Matney by renaming Eagle Field after Coach Matney

Led by Kentucky football commit Bingham, Johnson Central rushed for 354 yards and five total touchdowns.

Treyveon Longmire: 3-Star WR, Corbin (KY)

Corbin defeated Simon Kenton 56-24, improving to 6-0 on the season.

Longmire scored from 67 yards out on a deep ball from Cameron Combs in the second, then he had another deep touchdown on a similar play from 62 yards out in the fourth, this time from quarterback Kade Elam.

Below is the 67-yarder:

Alex Afari: 3-Star ATH, Lakota West (West Chester, OH)

Lakota West won their sixth-straight game Friday night, defeating Fairfield 42-10.

Afari will play defensive back for Kentucky once he arrives in Lexington, but doubles at wide receiver for the Firebirds. Afari scored on a 54-yard pass from quarterback Mitch Bolden.

“When we saw Afari in the slot, we knew the ball was going to him,” Fairfield coach Jason Krause said. “He ran right through our defensive back.”

Jordan Anthony: 3-Star ATH, Tylertown (MS)

Tylertown demolished Franklin County (MS) 58-0, remaining undefeated on the year. Despite dropping their highest point total of 2021, Anthony was one of Tylertown’s only weapons that didn’t find his way into the end zone.

Nikolas Hall: 3-Star OT, Akins (Austin, TX)

Akins (4-1) defeated Austin (2-3) 20-18 Thursday night. Hall led Akins’ offensive line effort on the Eagles’ way to scoring three touchdowns on the ground.

Josh Kattus: 3-Star TE, Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH)

While Kentucky was busy eating Gator in Lexington, Kattus and Archbishop Moeller found themselves on the wrong end of a shootout against Elder, losing 59-58 in overtime.

Despite Moeller’s eight touchdowns, Kattus wasn’t one of the Crusaders to find his way into the end zone.

“In general our offense played well,” Moeller head coach Mark Elder said. “We scored 58 points. We only have to get a couple stops; it’s not like we needed a bunch of them.”

Brandon White: 3-Star WR, Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH)

Brandon White, a speedy and athletic receiver, is the newest addition to Kentucky football’s 2022 recruiting. White announced his commitment with KSR Friday morning.

White, just as his teammate and fellow future Kentucky football player Kattus, didn’t find his way onto the scoreboard Saturday night, even though his team dropped 58 points against Elder.

DeCarlos Nicholson: 3-Star CB, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Perkinson, MS)

Nicholson was only able to manage one tackle in MGCCC’s 14-13 victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College Thursday night. The win propelled the Bulldogs to 4-1 on the season.

Jackson Smith: 5-Star K/P (ProKicker.com), Boyle County (Danville, KY)

The Rebels and Smith were on their BYE week this past Friday. Last week, Smith went 7-7 on PAT’s in Boyle County’s 49-6 victory over North Hardin. He also snagged an interception.

2023 Kentucky Football Commits:

Ty Bryant: 3-Star ATH, Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY)

Frederick Douglass was scheduled to travel to Grant County to take on the Braves Thursday night but that was canceled due to COVID protocols. The Broncos advanced to 7-0 on the season.
