Kentucky Football running back Chris Rodriguez arrested on Sunday
Kentucky Football’s star running back was arrested on Sunday morning.
According to the Kentucky arrest report, Chris Rodriguez was booked at the University of Kentucky police department for careless driving, having no tail lamps, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The McDonough, GA native and soon-to-be college senior was arrested in Fayette County on Nicholasville Road prior to Alumni Drive.
UK has not publicly commented on the situation as of the time this article was published.
The First-Team All-SEC tailback registered 1,379 total rushing yards for Kentucky during the 2021 season on 225 attempts, resulting in 10 touchdowns on the ground across his 13 appearances. In 32 career games, Rodriguez has 417 carries for 2,739 yards and 27 touchdowns, adding 15 receptions for 75 yards and three touchdowns.
Instead of taking his talents to the NFL Draft after an impressive season, he decided to return for a fifth season in Lexington.
