Kentucky Football Season Tickets now sold out, setting Stoops Era record
The Big Blue Nation is ready for Football Time In The Bluegrass. UK just announced that season tickets for the 2024 campaign are officially sold out.
Kentucky sold 40,800 season tickets this year, which is 600 more than last year and a new record in the Mark Stoops era. That includes the stadium’s capacity before it was renovated in 2015. All 6,500 student season passes are also sold out.
“We are energized by the Big Blue Nation and thankful to our great fans for their support as we get ready for the upcoming season,” UK Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart said in a press release. “Coach Stoops and the team love the BBN, the support they give us and the difference they make in Kroger Field. We look forward to Football Time in the Bluegrass.”
On Monday, Mark Stoops said the team is picking up on the good vibes from BBN for the 2024 season, which includes eight games at Kroger Field — and a new LED light system, which the team got a sneak peek of in a recent practice.
“I think it helps immensely,” Stoops said of the fan support. “We feel that passion and energy, we certainly feel it in the stadium. We have eight home games and we want to go deliver. You have heard me say that many times. I feel a deep obligation to put a team out there that they are proud of.”
“They are excited about it and want to come watch us. That is a good first step. Now we have to go play well and we want to do that, it is important to us. To go out there and coaches coach and players play and do the very best we can. We are excited about it, we can’t get too far ahead of ourselves. That is the big thing.”
Season tickets may be sold out but single-game tickets for several contests, including Saturday’s opener vs. Southern Miss, remain on Ticketmaster. A quick check of the Ticketmaster map shows there aren’t many left, so hurry.

Teachers and school employees, in addition to University of Kentucky faculty and staff will be able to purchase specially priced tickets. More details, including link to purchase, can be found here. As tickets are limited for this contest, this offer will also be valid for the Murray State game on Nov. 16.
Vanderbilt (Oct. 12, TBA): Homecoming
UK will celebrate its 109th Homecoming on the same weekend as Ag Roundup, which welcomes alumni and friends from the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment. That’s also Youth Sports and Activities Day, where youth teams from across the area will be eligible for specially-priced tickets. Murray State (Nov. 16, 1:30 p.m.): Heroes Day & Salute to Veterans
Members of Heroes Day groups (military, law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, and government employees) are eligible to purchase specially-priced tickets. UK will also be continuing its celebration of Extra Yard for Teachers as well as Youth Sports & Activities Day, both with special ticket offers.
