Kentucky is opening Southeastern Conference play in style. Less than 24 hours away from kickoff, we learned exactly which uniforms the Wildcats will wear Saturday afternoon against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Under the bright spotlight of the first-ever SEC on ABC broadcast, Kentucky is having a blue-out. The Wildcats are wearing blue jerseys, helmets, and pants against the Gamecocks.

Junior defensive lineman Kahlil Saunders served as the model at Kroger Field for this week’s all-blue fit. Kentucky is 19-9 under Mark Stoops when the Wildcats wear blue jerseys and blue pants.

Last week, the Cats rocked a traditional uniform combination for the season-opener vs. Southern Miss, sporting blue helmets, blue jerseys, and white pants. Even though Kentucky is wearing all-blue uniforms, the school is asking students to wear all-white to the SEC opener. Your guess as to why is as good as mine.
