Kentucky Trending for Four-Star WR Karmello English
Things are looking good in the Kentucky Wildcats’ pursuit of Karmello English.
A four-star wide receiver from Phenix City, Al., English visited Kentucky shortly after cutting his list to five. Since last week’s trip to Lexington we haven’t heard much about Alabama, Auburn, Florida or Penn State, but English did share this video from his experience at Kentucky. It’s so splashy, it led many to believe English was committing to Kentucky, but pump the brakes slightly. There’s no official declaration in the 20-second montage.
It’s not just one well-produced video that has made the BBN optimistic. Since visiting Kentucky last week, his three most recent Tweets are all about the Cats. That’s gotta be a good sign, right?

It’s clear that Kentucky has traction in English’s recruitment. Now the Wildcats must sustain and build on that momentum. Once a weak spot, Kentucky has been recruiting talented pass-catchers at a break-neck pace. English can ensure that trend is not slowing down under Rich Scangarello’s watchful eye.
English is the No. 124 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 22 wide receiver and the No. 12 junior in Alabama. A big-time playmaker, English uses his speed to break tackles and blow by opponents on his way to the end zone. Enjoy some of his best work from 2021 by watching this impressive junior season highlight tape.
