Kentucky football updates official 2022 numerical roster
With under two weeks left until the start of Kentucky’s 2022 football season, the roster is practically set in stone at this point. All players have arrived on camps and have their jersey numbers. During Wednesday’s open practice, UK Athletics provided the media with an updated numerical roster that includes only a few small changes from a previous update in late June.
The outgoing transfers have been updated to reflect the new roster. QB Beau Allen is no longer listed following his transfer to Tarleton State. Neither is DB Joel Williams, who is now at Memphis.
Elsewhere, Mississippi State transfer Londyn Craft, a 6-foot, 200-pound DB, has been officially added to the roster as No. 35. Also, RB Ramon Jefferson (who is expected to take over as the starting tailback during Chris Rodriguez’s looming suspension) is now on the roster too as No. 26. Additionally, it appears that UK has added a transfer from UAB in junior linebacker Kory Albert at No. 27.

The majority of the remaining updates were the addition of walk-ons, but one player notably left off the list was freshman defensive lineman Quentel Jones. Initially expected to enroll this spring, the three-star prospect from Fort Valley, GA was arrested in early June on charges of domestic battery in connection to a murder investigation. Shortly after the news broke, a UK spokesperson said, “we are aware and are monitoring the situation.”
At this moment, it does not appear that Jones is part of the Kentucky team.
As for the freshmen walk-ons, DB Chamarion Bush is No. 26, RB Sean O’Horo is No. 35, RB Isaac Dixon is No. 37, and DB Jarard Mosely is No. 47.
