Kentucky vs. Florida: Numbers You Need to Know, presented by Eckrich
Before we touch on the all of the stats and numbers you need to know for the top 25 showdown between Kentucky and Florida, A message from our friends at Eckrich:
Eckrich is proud to present the $1 Million Challenge for Teachers! This 2022 college football season Eckrich, in partnership with Extra Yard for Teachers and Kroger, will invite a local teacher (and true hero) onto the field at the South Carolina vs Kentucky game on October 8th.
These lucky teachers, randomly selected from a list of nominations, will have a chance to throw a football through a target to win up to $1 million dollars in donations to fund local classroom projects. 2 — Times Kentucky and Florida have met as ranked teams in the AP Poll. This is the second. The first was in 1952 when No. 20 UK fell 27-0 to No. 15 Florida in Gainesville. Kentucky is 9-12 against ranked opponents since 2015. Kentucky’s 34-7 win over No. 20 Tennessee in 2020 was the Wildcats’ last win over a ranked team on the road.
4 — Times Will Levis was sacked in week one. The Big Blue Wall paved the way for only 50 rushing yards.
5 — Wins ever recorded by Kentucky in Gainesville.
6.75 — Margin of victory for each team in 4 of the last 5 games between Kentucky and Florida, each of which were one-score games in the fourth quarter. The only exception was during the pandemic-plagued 2020 season that kept a couple of UK team captains back in Lexington.
7.3 — Yards per carry by Florida in its win over No. 7 Utah.
8 — Straight field goals by Matt Ruffolo.
11 — of Anthony Richardson‘s 17 week one completions were past the line of scrimmage and only one was thrown more than 20 yards downfield.

60 — Wins by Mark Stoops, tied with Bear Bryant for the most by a Kentucky football head coach.
41 — Years since Kentucky defeated Florida in back-to-back seasons. Fran Curci’s Cats did it in 1976-77.
136 — Receiving yards by Tayvion Robinson in his UK debut, a career-high for the Virginia Tech transfer.
