The Kentucky Football Win Total is Growing
The Kentucky Football Hype Train continues to chug along this offseason and it’s gaining steam. The latest momentum is moving lines in Las Vegas.
The first college football win total was published by Wynn, placing the line right at 8 wins for Kentucky in 2022, the highest it’s been in recent memory. That might be the lowest number you’ll find for Mark Stoops’ squad this offseason. PointsBet recently shared their win totals for Power Five teams and Kentucky comes in at 8.5. The Wildcats would have to win nine regular season games for the third time in five years for over bettors to cash a ticket.
College football win totals are a good barometer for how the casinos believe the season will unfold. Some media projections come with bias, whether intentional or not. Although there are always surprise teams and outliers, Vegas’ financial interest provides more clarity. If PointsBet is spot on this fall in the SEC East, only Georgia is standing in Kentucky’s way.

Allow me to be candid for a moment: These numbers are probably not the ones set in stone that many will use to make wagers over the summer. The sports book is avoiding all pushes by adding a .5 point, which is probably why Kentucky climbed up to an 8.5 total.
What is noteworthy is that only Alabama and Georgia have higher win totals in the SEC. According to PointsBet, Texas A&M is the closest comparison to Kentucky in the SEC. The stars are aligning for a special football season in Lexington, and Kentucky fans aren’t the only ones seeing it.
