Kentucky golfer Cullan Brown has lost his battle with cancer

[caption id="attachment_309313" align="aligncenter" width="756"] (YourSportsEdge)[/caption] Terrible news has come out of Lyon County: Kentucky golfer Cullan Brown died Tuesday night in Lexington. According to reporter Scott Brown, Cullan passed away with his family by his side. The news was confirmed by Lyon County Athletic Director Zach Thomas. https://twitter.com/scottbrownWKDZ/status/1290803559248932869 During his time at Lyon County High School, Brown was one of the school's all-time greatest athletes. He won the 2016 state golf title while also winning the KHSAA Player of the Year award. Brown finished as the state runner-up in both 2015 and 2017 before ultimately joining the Kentucky Men's Golf team. In just his first season at UK, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman team--despite missing the first half of the season--and even participated in the Barbasol Championship last summer as an amateur Cullan was initially diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer in Sept. 2019 called osteosarcoma.
