A different kind of top-10 matchup is going down inside the chair-back seats of Rupp Arena on Friday night. The bounces normally heard won’t be that of a basketball, but the No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats hoping to bounce back against the No. 8 Missouri Tigers.
For the third consecutive season, Excite Night will be held in downtown Lexington at Rupp Arena, kicking off the Wildcats home campaign. Kentucky comes into the meet with a 0-1 record after falling to No. 5 Utah last Friday.
✌️ more days until Excite Night returns to @Rupp_Arena at 6 p.m. on @SECNetwork. Will YOU be there with us?

Despite the season-opening loss, Kentucky’s Mollie Korth scored a 9.800 or better in four events on her way to being named the all-around champion. She was named Southeastern Gymnast of the Week in the process and is one of just six gymnasts in program history to receive the honor.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with a special performance from Disney’s Sky Katz. The actual match will begin at 6 p.m. and can be viewed on the SEC Network.

Kentucky and Missouri are already familiar with each other after splitting two matches a season ago. The Tigers got the best of UK in the regular season but were downed by the ‘Cats in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
There will be autographs available from all of the gymnasts following the event and free posters will also be distributed. Tickets are cheap, and you can purchase them here.
