Kentucky hands out 3rd class of '24 scholarship to 5-star SG Isaiah Elohim

Make that three offers handed out by the Kentucky men’s basketball staff to begin the contact period.
After extending scholarships to a pair of top-five ’24 prospects in Ian Jackson and Tre Johnson earlier on Wednesday, the Wildcats went out and handed an offer to Isaiah Elohim, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard out of Sierra Canyon (CA) considered the No. 6 overall rising junior, according to the On3 Consensus.
Elohim has also heard from the likes of Duke, Arizona, Florida, Baylor, UCLA, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Arizona State, and Longwood to begin the contact period for soon-to-be high school juniors, which kicked off at 12:01 a.m. EST on Wednesday morning. College coaches can now make individual contact with those recruits.

Elohim was one of the top performers at this month’s 20th annual Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas. He was tabbed to the event’s Top 30 Cream of the Crop Game after an impressive four-game run with Team Notre Dame. Elohim averaged 13 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 56.1 percent from the field and hitting double-digit scoring numbers in all four contests. He then added eight points, one rebound, and two dimes on 4-7 shooting in the Cream of the Crop Game.
KSR was able to speak with Elohim for a few minutes while he was in Vegas for the Pangos camp. Although he kept most of his recruiting information close to the vest, he did say he was hearing the most from Texas, USC, UCLA, Kentucky, and most recently Louisville, which happened to offer him on Monday.
Kentucky is attacking the recruiting landscape with far more vigor than this time a year ago.
