Kentucky High School Football Rankings: Week 9

There were not many upsets last week. Owensboro knocked off Graves County 35-28 in the only matchup of Top 25 teams. Here are this week’s Kentucky high school football rankings.

Kentucky High School Football Top 25

1. Male – Daniel Swinney rushed for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 36-0 shutout over Fern Creek.

2. St. Xavier – Mekhi Smith scored twice in a decisive 43-0 victory over Butler.

3. Lexington Christian Academy – UVA commit Xavier Brown rushed for 132 yards and a pair of scores on only three carries in a 63-13 blowout of Somerset.

4. Frederick Douglass – Kentucky target Dane Key caught 5 passes for 93 yards and 2 scores in a 38-7 win over Great Crossing.  

5. Corbin – Cameron Combs ran for three scores and tossed two touchdown passes to Kentucky commit Treyveon Longmire to help Corbin turn a 21-21 game into a 42-21 victory over Lincoln County.

6. South Warren – Caden Veltkamp tossed two touchdown passes to Keegan Milby in a 51-20 win over Christian County. 

7. Boyle County – Jagger Gillis tossed three touchdown passes to Cole Lanter in a 54-0 shutout of Anderson County. 

8. Manual – Jawaun Northington’s 4 touhcdowns powered the Crimson to a 42-0 shutout of PRP. 

9. Beechwood – Reigning Mr. Football Cam Hergott rushed for a score and threw for 242 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 62-6 blowout over Lloyd Memorial. 

10. Johnson Central – Ryleh McKenzie had a 60-yard pick-six in a 43-6 win over Harlan County.
