HIGHLIGHTS: Kentucky holds off Team Africa 104-92

Credit to Team Africa, they did not give up. Kentucky led by 16 points to start the fourth quarter but Africa cut to six with 5:20 to go. How did the Cats respond? By going on a 9-0 run of their own. Kentucky finished with a 104-92 victory, its third straight in the GLOBL Jam. The Cats face the winner of Canada and Germany in the gold medal game tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
Considering the Cats were already guaranteed a spot in the gold medal game (and spent yesterday hanging out at Drake’s), a sleepy effort would be understandable, but a trio of players stepped up when the team needed them the most: Antonio Reeves, who finished with a game-high 27 points, and freshmen Reed Sheppard and DJ Wagner, who had 18 points apiece.
