Kentucky hosting multiple recruits for mid-week official visits
Mark Stoops and Kentucky football are picking up steam on the recruiting trail. After landing a pair of commits over the last 48 hours, a trio of four-star high school prospects will be in Lexington this week.
Earlier on Monday, four-star linebacker Christian Gass began his official visit to Kentucky. On Tuesday, four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh and four-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway will join Gass in Lexington for their officials, they confirmed with KSR.
Starting with Gass, Kentucky will have some ground to make up with his recruitment. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound product out of Covington (GA) Eastside is coming off an official visit to Georgia that went well. Gass has labeled the Bulldogs as “one of the top ones”, according to DawgsHQ, with Southern California right in the mix, as well.
So far, Gass — ranked No. 281 overall in the 2025 class — has taken official visits to Florida (May 31), USC (June 7), and Georgia (June 14). Once he wraps up his official to Kentucky later this week, he’ll spend the weekend at Tennessee to close out his trips for the month. A decision could come as soon as July.
As for Marsh, Kentucky doesn’t typically dive into the state of Texas all that often, but new wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts has the Wildcats doing just that. Keep in mind that Shorts just helped UK pull Ja’Kayden Ferguson out of Texas. Marsh and Ferguson are close friends and that’s notable going into this week’s visit with one of them already on board.
Marsh, ranked No. 61 overall in the 2025 class, has already taken official visits to Washington (May 17), USC (June 7), and Texas (June 14). After his Kentucky trip, the 6-foot, 175-pound pass catcher will head to Oklahoma this weekend before taking a gameday OV to Michigan in November. Thanks to Shorts, the Wildcats will have a legitimate shot to land Marsh, but don’t expect this recruitment to wrap up anytime soon.

Finally, Galloway will start his official visit to Kentucky at the same time as Marsh. Ranked No. 143 overall in the 2025 class, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound defensive back has been trending toward Purdue, but associate head coach Vince Marrow is putting in work on behalf of the Wildcats. The Boilermakers received an RPM pick for Galloway from On3’s Steve Wilftong on June 10.
This trip to Kentucky will be Galloway’s fourth official this month. He started at West Virginia (June 2) before stopping at Purdue (June 7) and Syracuse (June 14). Once he leaves Lexington, the Ohio product will head to Penn State this weekend for his last scheduled OV. Nebraska could still get more involved. He previously announced on social media a decision date for July 4th before quickly deleting the post.
Kentucky currently has nine commits on board from the 2025 recruiting cycle, good enough for 23rd in the nation, per the On3 Industry Ranking. The Wildcats received a commitment from three-star wide receiver Ja’Kayden Ferguson on Sunday and another from three-star cornerback Andrew Purcell early Monday morning. Additionally, four-star offensive tackle Darrin Strey made his pledge to UK on June 9.
With a significant mid-week slate of visitors and another important OV weekend ahead, it’s time to keep those dice hot.
