Kentucky hosting offensive lineman transfer for Sunday official visit
Kentucky is one of the select few schools in the running for an offensive tackle out of the portal.
Grand Valley State (Divison II) transfer Jaylin Caldwell is taking an official visit to Lexington on Sunday to check out what the Wildcats have to offer. Clocking in at 6-foot-6, 330 pounds, the Chicago native is also slated to take official visits to Missouri (May 1) and Florida State (May 3). He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
After redshirting his freshman season in 2022, Caldwell turned into a two-year starter at Grand Valley State. He jumped into the portal on April 18 and has announced additional offers from the likes of North Texas, Southern Miss, and Arkansas State.
Caldwell, who played his high school football at Phillips Academy (IL), is considered a three-star transfer prospect by On3. He’s ranked 2,174th among all portal entries this offseason and 160th among offensive tackles.
