Kentucky Hosting Top 200 Talent for Another Unofficial Visit
One of the top targets on the Kentucky football recruiting big board is preparing to make a return trip to Lexington. Sources tell KSR that four-star running back Marquise Davis will be back in Lexington this weekend for an unofficial visit.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound athlete from Cleveland has been courted by Kentucky for quite some time and now Vince Marrow appears to be bringing out his big recruiting guns. This will be his second straight weekend in Lexington. On3’s Steve Wiltfong reports the four-star running back was on campus last weekend for the Blue-White Spring Game.
“I enjoyed my time there, showed nothing but good vibes and a good time,” Davis told On3. “What attracts me to Kentucky is the opportunity it comes with and how they prepare their running backs for success.
“The way they use their running backs in all aspects, it’s just like the NFL.”
Kentucky has some competition from the defending National Champs. In addition to his visit to Lexington, last week he also stopped in to watch a Michigan spring practice. They will get his first OV this June, followed by Kentucky and Tennessee.

Davis is ranked by On3 as the No. 114 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class and a Top 10 player at his position. Plenty of running backs have had success in the Mark Stoops era, but the Cats rarely successfully landed highly-touted recruits at the position. He would become Kentucky’s highest-ranked running back commitment of the Stoops era. Boom Williams still holds that title, ranked No. 210 overall in 2014.
Last fall Marquise Davis put up crazy numbers for Cleveland Heights, the same school that sent WR Dorian Baker to Kentucky. He rushed for 2,228 yards and 35 touchdowns and he also had 63 tackles, five stops for loss and three interceptions.
