Ready to drive to Milwaukee, BBN? Tip times for Sunday’s second-round games are out and No. 3 seed Kentucky vs. No. 6 seed Illinois will tip off at 4:15 p.m. CT/5:15 p.m. ET. It will air on CBS with Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Stan Van Gundy, and Lauren Shehadi on the call.

Illinois advanced with an 86-73 win over No. 11 seed Xavier. Illinois freshmen (and projected first-round draft picks) Kasparas Jakucionis and Will Riley combined for 38 points and 14 rebounds vs. Xavier, with Jakucionis also adding nine assists. Tomislav Ivisic, Zvonimir Ivisic’s little brother, had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Of course, Orlando Antigua, formerly on Kentucky’s staff, returned to Illinois last spring when John Calipari went to Arkansas.

Illinois by far had the crowd advantage tonight at Fiserv Forum. Maybe Kentucky fans were waiting to see if the Cats would get out of the first round before committing to the trip or simply holding out for Indianapolis, but unless a caravan of blue heads north soon, Kentucky will be playing in a road environment on Sunday. Do we think Mark Pope’s offer to pay for fans’ gas money still holds?
