A new SEC policy has arrived in 2024 with weekly injury reports being published during game week. The conference now requires each of their 16 members to provide multiple “availability reports” during game week. We got the first one for Texas vs. Kentucky on Wednesday night.

Kentucky listed 17 players on the first availability report ahead of this weekend’s game against Texas. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play). This week’s injury report includes multiple starters.

  • Jantzen Dunn | DB | Out
  • Darrion Henry-Young | DL | Out
  • Gerald Mincey | OL | Out
  • Daveren Rayner | LB | Out
  • Terhyon Nichols | CB | Out
  • DJ Waller Jr. | DB | Out
  • D’Eryk Jackson | LB | Out
  • J.J. Weaver | OLB | Probable
  • Courtland Ford | OL | Questionable
  • Kahlil Saunders | DL | Questionable

Kentucky will still have a handful of scholarship players out, but this football team is the most healthy it has been since the Vanderbilt game thanks to the bye week combined with playing numerous starters limited snaps against Murray State.

Chip Trayanum, Maxwell Hairston, Steven Soles Jr., Jordan Dingle, Josaih Hayes, and Quay’Sheed Scott all returned to the lineup after missing the Tennessee game. Kentucky now gets Deone Walker and Jamon Dumas-Johnson back after each multi-game starter on defense missed last week.
