Kentucky Injury Report: Banged Up at Running Back, Offensive Line
A new SEC policy has arrived in 2024. Kentucky football will be featured first in this new game week development. The conference now requires each of their 16 members to provide two “availability reports” during game week. We got the first one on Wednesday night.
Kentucky listed 13 players on the first availability report ahead of this weekend’s game against Georgia. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play). This week’s injury report includes a pair of running backs and two starting offensive linemen.
- Chip Trayanum | RB | Out
- Darrion Henry-Young | DL | Out
- Courtland Ford | OL | Out
- Hardley Gilmore IV | WR | Out
- Josaih Hayes | DL | Out
- Tavion Gadson | DL | Out
- Devin Smith | LB | Out
- Jager Burton | LG | Doubtful
- Jason Patterson | RB | Doubtful
- Brandon White | WR | Questionable
- Keeshawn Silver | DL | Probable
- Gerald Mincey | OT | Probable
- Maxwell Hairston | CB | Probable
As expected, tailback Chip Trayanum and offensive tackle Courtland Ford are still listed as out. As for more bad news, it’s not looking ideal for starting left guard Jager Burton and RB Jason Patterson. Kentucky could be down to only two scholarship running backs against the Dawgs. The good news is Gerald Mincey and Keeshawn Silver are on track to be ready to roll this Saturday.
Another availability report will be published daily, and we’ll receive a final report on Saturday 90 minutes before the Wildcats host the Bulldogs. The SEC’s first conference game of the season will take place at Kroger Field this weekend.
