Kentucky Injury Report: Multiple surprises on Vanderbilt week
A new SEC policy has arrived in 2024 with weekly injury reports being published during game week. The conference now requires each of their 16 members to provide multiple “availability reports” during game week. We got the first one for Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky on Wednesday night.
Kentucky listed 10 players on the first availability report ahead of this weekend’s game against Vandy. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play). This week’s injury report includes multiple starters.
- Chip Trayanum | RB | Out
- Maxwell Hairston | DB | Out
- Darrion Henry-Young | DL | Out
- Josaih Hayes | DL | Out
- Tavion Gadson | DL | Out
- Terhyon Nichols | DB | Doubtful
- Keeshawn Silver | DL | Probable
- Brock Vandagriff | QB | Probable
- Hardley Gilmore IV | WR | Probable
- Courtland Ford | OL | Probable
As expected, tailback Chip Trayanum and cornerback Maxwell Hairston out are listed as out. Tackle Courtland Ford could make his season debut as being listed as probable after missing the first five games. True freshman Hardley Gilmore IV could also make his season debut after suffering a broken collarbone injury during fall camp.
Another availability report will be published daily, and we’ll receive a final report on Saturday 90 minutes before the Wildcats host the most popular team in college football.
