Kentucky "will be involved" with Duke transfer Jeremy Roach
Could a former Duke player suit up for a different blue-and-white program next season?
Shortly after Jeremy Roach announced through Instagram on Tuesday night that he would enter the transfer portal, KSR’s Matt Jones reported that “Kentucky will be involved on this one” in reference to Roach’s recruitment.
Roach, who has spent all four of his college seasons with the Blue Devils, also announced that he will declare for the 2024 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-2 point guard will enter the portal as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.
Roach has appeared in 130 games throughout his career at Duke, including 108 starts. He was a team captain as a junior and senior.

This past season, Roach averaged 14 points, 3.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 32.7 minutes per outing. He shot 46.8 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from deep (3.6 attempts per game), and 84.4 percent from the line. He helped lead the Blue Devils to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament on his way to making Third Team All-ACC.
Out of high school, Roach was considered a Top 25 recruit from the class of 2020. The Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year and McDonald’s All-American committed to Duke over a group of finalists that included Kentucky and former head coach John Calipari.
