Kentucky IOL commit Jadon Lafontant flips to Boston College
Word began to leak out on Monday morning that Kentucky football commit Jadon Lafontant could be on flip watch. Later in the day, the three-star offensive lineman went ahead and made it official. Lafontant announced Monday night on social media that he has flipped from Kentucky to Boston College.
Lafontant had been committed to the Wildcats since June. The Old Greenwich (CT) Brunswick School interior offensive lineman is considered the No. 1,306 overall prospect from the 2024 class by the On3 Industry Ranking.
In his announcement post, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound Lafontant pointed to “the recent changes” at Kentucky as the reasoning behind his decision. He was recruited by multiple UK coaches, notably wide receivers coach Scott Woodward, who was let go from his position in late November. Woodward holds recruiting ties to the northeast.

In addition to Woodward, Lafontant was also recruited to Kentucky by offensive line coach Zach Yenser and offensive coordinator Liam Coen. However, Woodward getting fired played a role in how Lafontant viewed his future with the Wildcats. In the end, he elected to look elsewhere.
UK still has three offensive linemen committed to the 2024 recruiting cycle: Aba Selm, Marc Nave, and Hayes Johnson. Kentucky’s class remains ranked No. 23 in the country, per On3.
