A week after Andru Phillips attended Kentucky's 2019 Blue/White Game, the cornerback trimmed his list of finalists to five -- Louisville, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Kentucky. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1200"] @druphillips[/caption] A top 15 player in the talent-rich state of South Carolina, Phillips actually grew up in Louisville. His father, Carlos, played in the AAAA state championship with Owensboro before signing to play for Jerry Claiborne's Wildcats. Carlos Phillips lettered for UK in 1989 as a linebacker. The younger Phillips could follow in his father's footsteps. The 5'11" three-star prospect will return to Lexington next weekend for an official visit, the same weekend another legacy recruit, Beau Allen, will take his official visit. Phillips intends to announce his final decision July 8. There's one thing you need to know about Phillips' game: he isn't afraid to lower his shoulder. [mobile_ad]
