Kentucky is steamrolling KWC at halftime to open Mark Pope era
Well, that was fun. I mean, can you believe what we just watched? The Mark Pope Era is off to a red-hot start, Kentucky taking an absolutely ridiculous 60-24 lead at halftime against Kentucky Wesleyan in the exhibition opener.
The Wildcats couldn’t have played better through 20 minutes, shooting a ridiculous 61.5 percent from the field (24-39), 40 percent from three (8-20) and 80 percent at the line (4-5) with nine different players scoring and seven getting multiple buckets.

Jaxson Robinson leads the way with 13 points on 5-7 shooting and 3-4 from three, followed by Otega Oweh with 11, Andrew Carr with eight and Lamont Butler, Amari Williams, Koby Brea and Ansley Almonor with six apiece.
Defensively, the Wildcats are holding the Panthers to just 32.1 percent overall (9-28) and 15.4 percent from three (2-13), forcing 10 turnovers while committing just two.
