Kentucky leads Albany 37-28 at halftime
After 20 minutes of very sloppy play, Kentucky leads Albany 37-28. The Cats are without Davion Mintz (illness), Jacob Toppin (shoulder), and Lance Ware (ankle) tonight, but that’s not the only reason they’re only up by nine. Kentucky turned the ball over NINE times to Albany’s four turnovers. Let’s clean that up, boys.
TyTy Washington is the only player in double figures, with 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-3 FT). Sahvir Wheeler has nine points (4-5 FG, 1-2 FT) and three assists. This won’t surprise you, but Oscar Tshiebwe already has nine rebounds, to go along with six points. It probably also won’t surprise you that he’s already two fouls.
The Cats are shooting 59% from the floor, but have only made 2-6 threes. Albany is 12-34 from the floor for 35%.
