Kentucky leads Florida 33-28 at half
After an erratic 20 minutes of play, your No. 5 Kentucky Wildcats lead the Florida Gators 33-28.
The Cats got out to a hot start, leading 20-6 at the 14:27 mark, but stalled when Sahvir Wheeler picked up his second foul a minute later and headed to the bench. Florida cut the lead to one with 6:43 to go, but Oscar Tshiebwe scored six of Kentucky’s next eight points to push the lead back to nine. Unfortunately, Florida narrowed the gap to five points at half, hitting a bucket at the buzzer to make it 33-28.
Oscar leads the way with 13 points and 9 rebounds, just one board shy of a casual first half double-double. Kellan Grady hit three threes early on but went cold the rest of the half. TyTy Washington is only 1-8 from the floor but has five assists. The Cats are shooting 41.2% from the floor while holding Florida to 46.2%.
Hopefully we get the Kentucky that started the game to start the second half.
