Kentucky leads Florida 38-26 at half

Florida desperately needs a win today to improve its NCAA Tournament resume. So far, Kentucky is taking care of business, leading the Gators 38-26 at halftime.
All in all, it was an impressive half of basketball for Kentucky. Oscar Tshiebwe already has his 25th double-double of the season with 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-4 FT) and 11 rebounds. He needs one more to tie Dan Issel’s single-season record of 26 from 1969-70. Kellan Grady and Sahvir Wheeler both have seven points. Kentucky’s shooting 50% (15-30) from the floor while holding Florida to 36.7% (11-30).
At one point, Kentucky was up by 16, but Florida cut the lead to six with 2:29 left. From there, the Cats went on a 6-0 run to push the lead back to double digits.
So far, so good. Keep it up, Cats…
