Kentucky leads Mississippi State 37-24 at half
No TyTy Washington, no problem so far for Kentucky vs. Mississippi State. The Cats lead the Bulldogs 37-24 at halftime. Oscar Tshiebwe leads all scorers with nine points. He also has 12 rebounds, more than Mississippi State’s entire team.
Eight Cats have scored so far, including Dontaie Allen, whose vendetta against Mississippi State continues. In ten minutes of play, Allen had a big putback dunk and a three for five points, the first he’s scored since Kentucky’s win over Central Michigan on Nov. 29. Sahvir Wheeler started but only played seven minutes due to foul trouble. Speaking of foul trouble, Davion Mintz has three fouls so far.
The Cats are shooting 54% from the floor to Mississippi State’s 29.6% but have turned the ball over 11 times. Not great. Here’s to a cleaner second half. (And no, Shaedon Sharpe hasn’t played yet.)
