After 20 minutes of play, your University of Kentucky Wildcats lead the Ole Miss Rebels 44-35. As expected, it’s been a good offensive night for the Cats, who are shooting 17-29 (58.6%) from the floor, 6-11 (54.5%) from three. However, defensively, the Cats have allowed the Rebels to get to the basket way too often. Ole Miss is hitting 50% of its shots (15-30) and has 20 points in the paint so far. The Rebels are actually outrebounding Kentucky 17-14 and have 11 second-chance points to the Cats’ two. Hmm.

A trio of Cats lead the way with eight points each: Oscar Tshiebwe, Sahvir Wheeler, and Davion Mintz. Kellan Grady and TyTy Washington both have seven points. Washington only played nine minutes, coming off the bench so Mintz could start on Senior Night. After settling in, he scored seven straight and headed back to the bench for a breather. He’s looking like his old self again.

Check out the first half numbers below. Better defense in the second half, please.
