After losing to Duke in the season opener Tuesday night, Kentucky needed a chance to bounce back vs. an inferior opponent. So far, so good. Kentucky leads Robert Morris 46-30 at halftime. As we saw vs. the Blue Devils, the Cats haven’t been afraid to push the pace, leading the Colonials in fastbreak points 11-4.

TyTy Washington and Kellan Grady lead Kentucky with 10 points each, while Oscar Tshiebwe is well on his way to a second straight double-double with seven points and nine rebounds. Thanks to Big O, Kentucky is winning the battle of the boards 23-10. The Cats also have 22 points in the paint to Bobby Mo’s 10.

Kentucky is without CJ Fredrick and Jacob Toppin tonight. Toppin is nursing a nagging shoulder injury while Fredrick has reportedly suffered a new hamstring injury that will hold him out for an indefinite amount of time. John Calipari will surely be asked about the injuries after the game, so stay tuned.
