It wasn’t Kentucky’s best half of basketball, but the Cats lead the Vanderbilt Commodores 37-33 after 20 minutes of play in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

Davion Mintz and TyTy Washington both have eight points to lead the way, followed by Oscar Tshiewbe with six points and five rebounds. Kentucky made 50% of its shots (16-32) while holding Vanderbilt to 38.7% (12-31). Vandy star Scotty Pippen Jr. only has six points on 1-6 from the floor, 3-3 from the free-throw line. Wildly enough, they’re actually outscoring Kentucky in the paint 14-12. Only six of the Cats’ 37 points came from layups, and nine points from threes (3-7).

Jacob Toppin checked out at the five-minute mark with a bloody nose. He went to the locker room and has not returned. How about Lance, though? Ware came off the bench and helped the Cats take the lead back at the end of the half. He’s got three rebounds, an assist, and two steals in four minutes.
