Kentucky lineman David Wohlabaugh enters transfer portal
Kentucky offensive lineman David Wohlabaugh Jr. has entered the transfer portal, the sophomore announced Sunday afternoon.
The decision comes on the heels of the Wildcats adding USC offensive tackle transfer Courtland Ford last weekend, a move that was likely to push Wohlabaugh down the depth chart. Rather than battling for reps in a reserve role, the native of Stow, OH will explore his options elsewhere.
“I want to thank the coaches and my teammates at the University of Kentucky for the past two years, I value the friendships and relationships I have developed,” he announced. “I’m entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining and looking forward to the next chapter in my life.”

The 6-foot-6, 321-pound lineman played in 10 games over the last two seasons in Lexington, including one start vs. Miami (OH) in Kentucky’s 2022 opener. He played in eight games this past season and two games as a redshirt in 2021.
A three-star recruit out of high school, he originally chose the Wildcats over Arizona State, Penn State and West Virginia.
Wohlabaugh’s transfer marks the program’s 17th this offseason:
