At the Half: Kentucky leads Louisville 45-30

It’s halftime in Lexington and your University of Kentucky Wildcats lead the Louisville Cardinals 45-30.
The Cats got off to a hot start, sprinting out to a 12-2 lead three minutes in. Jacob Toppin got the start and is making the most of it, leading all scorers with 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 FT) and 4 rebounds in 15 minutes. Two other Wildcats are in double figures, Cason Wallace and Oscar Tshiebwe, both with 10 points. Oscar already has a double-double, with 10 rebounds. Kentucky is shooting 63.3% from the floor, 37.5% from the outside (3-8).

The score doesn’t really show it, but Louisville’s been hanging around, cutting Kentucky’s lead to eight at the 6:14 mark. The Cards are led by El Ellis, who has 11 points, and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, who has 8. They’re shooting 44.8% from the floor and only 12.5% (1-8) from three.
