Kentucky’s final game of the 2023 college football regular season will arrive on Saturday. The Wildcats have made the short drive down I-64 to meet Louisville in the Governor’s Cup where the road team will put a four-game winning streak in the series on the line. They will be doing it in a uniform combo that is a fan favorite.

For the second time this season, Kentucky will go chrome-white-white in a road game. Will the double-dip in this jersey combination produce another winning result?

All the way back in Week 4, Kentucky went with this same uniform combination on the road. The Wildcats hit the turf located in the middle of construction site on Vanderbilt’s campus and jumped out to a quick 24-0 lead with 4:53 remaining in the second quarter. Liam Coen‘s offense put up 6.1 yards per play, Barion Brown had over 100 yards receiving, Vanderbilt was limited to 97 rushing yards, and Maxwell Hairston scored twice on a pair of pick sixes.

The Wildcats left the Music City with a 45-28 victory that set the stage for a huge contest with Florida at home in Week 5. Kentucky will be looking for a similar result against No. 9 Louisville in Week 13. Jeff Brohm‘s team will be sporting all red jerseys for the 35th all-time meeting in this rivalry series.
