Kentucky-LSU in weather delay; first pitch scheduled for 8:06 [UPDATE]
The saddest picture you’ll see is that of a kid, baseball glove in hand and uniform on, looking out the window and watching a thunderstorm cancel his afternoon plans. That seems to be the case in Baton Route as the Kentucky versus LSU Super Regional game has been delayed due to weather.
Or, at least the potential for bad weather.
The first pitch has been rescheduled for 8:06 p.m., a full five hours after it was initially supposed to start, due to the threat of thunderstorms in the area. [UPDATE: First pitch has been moved back once again. Kentucky-LSU is now scheduled to begin at 9:06 p.m. EST on ESPN News]

He went on to hypothesize a little conspiracy that LSU purposely delayed the game so that their best pitcher, Paul Skenes, would not have to pitch just a few innings, then sit when the rain came, and potentially get pulled due to a mid-game thunderstorm.
What do you think, Big Blue Nation? Is this some kind of sketchy gamesmanship or does Baton Route simply have an over-enthusiastic radar tracker who is taking matters extremely cautiously?
