Kentucky football has cracked the Top 10 for one of the best high school athletes from the state of Tennessee.

On Friday afternoon, three-star class of 2025 athlete Daune Morris announced that he is down to 10 finalists. Kentucky made the cut, as did Louisville, Southern California, Florida, Auburn, Colorado, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas A&M. The Wildcats offered Morris back in October 2022.

In the social media post announcing Morris’ top 10, it mentioned that “a decision is coming soon.”

Listed at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, the Chattanooga (TN) Oakland product is ranked as the No. 495 overall high school junior by the On3 Industry Ranking.

Notably, Morris has a relationship with Kentucky’s current freshman QB Cutter Boley. The two played 7-on-7 together over the years and consider each other close friends. They’ve even visited UK together on multiple occasions.

“That’s my guy. He’s like a brother to me,” Morris told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+ back in June 2023 about Boley. “You know how he is. He’s just trying to get me up there with him.”

Morris was originally recruited to Kentucky by wide receiver coach Scott Woodward. However, Woodward was relieved of his duties in November as head coach Mark Stoops then brought in Daikiel Shorts to fill the role. Morris is being recruited by schools as both a wide receiver and running back.

Expect the Wildcats to receive an official visit from Morris in the coming months. According to Jeffrey Lee of AuburnLive, the likes of Kentucky, Southern California, Colorado, Tennessee, and possibly Louisville will likely be on his official visit schedule this summer.
