On Wednesday, Kentucky coaches went to check on five-star junior Trentyn Flowers. On Thursday, Flowers included Kentucky on his list of top schools.

A 6-foot-8 small forward playing for Combine Academy (NC), Flowers has cut his list to 13 schools with the ‘Cats making the cut. North Carolina, Kansas, Louisville, Oregon, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Creighton, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgetown, and Georgia State round out his list.

Alex Karamanos of The Circuit was first to report on Wednesday that Kentucky associate coach Orlando Antigua stopped by Flowers’s school in North Carolina. Head coach John Calipari also joined Antigua, although Flowers has not been offered yet by the ‘Cats. He is considered the No. 8 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by On3’s own rankings.

Flowers has already taken plenty of unofficial visits to the likes of North Carolina, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Maryland, and Oklahoma. He currently has four official visits set up to Oklahoma (Oct. 14), Louisville (Oct. 21), Georgia State (Oct. 28), and Creighton (Nov. 5). Louisville has been a consistent factor in Flowers’s recruitment so far with head coach Kenny Payne helping lead the charge.

“Coach KP (Kenny Payne) and Coach Nolan (Smith) have been super consistent with me,” Flowers recently told On3’s Joe Tipton. “Even before I had the offer and we really started talking, they were at all my games. They watched me play a whole lot this summer. They just believe in my talent. It’s a great place and a great school. I took a unofficial there last year and I loved it. So with the new staff, it’s going to be nice this year.”

There are no current plans for a visit to Kentucky, but that could change soon with the staff’s growing interest. Watch him work below.
