Kentucky makes Top 5 for 4-star WR Anthony Brown
One of the top class of 2023 targets on Kentucky Football’s Big Board has included the ‘Cats in his final five.
On Thursday afternoon, four-star wide receiver Anthony Brown announced on social media that he is down to Kentucky, Penn State, Cincinnati, Michigan, and Oklahoma. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound pass-catcher out of Springfield, OH is ranked No. 390 overall by the On3 Consensus and is considered a top 10 player from the state of Ohio.
Brown was in Lexington last weekend for an official visit to UK. A decision is expected in July.
Brown, who doubles as a star track and field athlete at Springfield High School, is believed to be focusing on two programs: Kentucky and Cincinnati. A week before he took his OV to check out the Wildcats’ campus, he was visiting the Bearcats.
That being said, he’s been to UK before this year, taking an unofficial visit in late March. Kentucky was also his very first Divison I offer, which he earned two years ago in June 2020. Brown recently received a Crystal Ball projection to land at Kentucky earlier this week from 247Sports’ Josh Edwards. KSR’s Nick Roush and Rivals’ Justin Rowland also have picks in favor of Brown choosing the ‘Cats.

Oklahoma is the most recent school to express serious interest in Brown, extending him an offer in late May. Michigan was able to get him on campus for an unofficial visit in March while Penn State offered him all the way back in June 2021, around the same time the Wolverines did the same. Brown was formerly committed to Minnesota before backing off that decision and re-opening his recruitment in February.
Landing Brown would be a big get for Mark Stoops, Vince Marrow, and company. Come on down.
