Kentucky Football already has one running back locked up from the class of 2023 in Kaden Moorman, but the staff has its eyes set on potential adding another one.

On Saturday afternoon, Marquez Taylor, a class of 2023 running back out of Mckenzie, TN, included Kentucky among his top five list of college destinations. Joining the ‘Cats are the likes of Memphis, Kansas, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Taylor clocks in at 6-foot, 175 pounds.

While not currently ranked by On3 or 247Sports, Taylor is considered a 3-star all-purpose back over at Rivals. He initially picked up his offer from offensive line coach Eric Wolford back in late September and quickly came to Lexington for a visit a couple of weeks later. Taylor holds additional offers from the likes of Boston College and Michigan State, and also took a gameday trip to Alabama during the fall.

He told 247Sports back in October that Kentucky was his leader with Tennesse behind the ‘Cats at No. 2, but circumstances can certainly change.

As a junior at McKenzie High School, Taylor carried the ball 172 times for 1,591 yards and 32 touchdowns. He was also the team’s second-leading receiver with 22 receptions for 373 yards. Taylor was a finalist for Tennessee’s Class 1A-Division I Mr. Football award. He recently told Zach Berry of OMSpirit that he believes he could play wide receiver at the college level.

Come on down, Marquez.
