Wildcat Waterboys Kentucky Managers

March is supposed to be fun. As anxiety grows around the BBN ahead of Thursday’s NCAA Tournament debut for the Kentucky Wildcats, the team managers are cashing in and having a lot of fun in the process.

On Tuesday morning the talented students debuted a new music video, “Wildcat Waterboys.” The video was created in a NIL partnership with Geddes Pools, a pool contractor in Nicholasville, KY.

The original hip-hop creation includes cameos from Reed Sheppard and a few hilarious lines. The most well-known manager, Ray Surratt, a former Lexington basketball star, drops the following while throwing down a dunk.

Yeah, they call me Big Ray. I’m pumping them balls.
I’m comin’ in at 6-foot-9 inches tall.
Next to me, the walk-ons lookin’ real small.

And when I dunk a ball, I’m getting cat-calls.

When they aren’t taking care of the Kentucky basketball team, the Wildcat managers are dominating opposing managers on the hardwood. Managers often play the night before the bright lights come on at Rupp. This year they are an undefeated 9-0, including a victory over Louisville. The Cardinal Birds cried foul, quite literally. They called a foul on a tip-in with seconds remaining, but Kentucky left the court victorious.
