Ahead of the start of the 2024-25 fall college semester, which began on Monday, the Kentucky men’s basketball team made sure to soak up the sun on the water.

The Wildcats spent the weekend in Hazard, KY where Mark Pope, the coaching staff, and the players helped build a house for a team bonding retreat. They got started on Friday with a Community Cookout at Perry County Park before putting on their hard hats for some construction work. Pope was even spotted throwing the L’s Down with local law enforcement officials.

But after that, it was time to spend the rest of the weekend enjoying themselves on the lake before school starts up. The Kentucky men’s basketball social media account posted a video of the team riding watercrafts all around a local lake (likely one in Hazard) and doing some tubing off the back of a boat. Otega Oweh even tried his hand at kayaking.

Not a bad way to start the semester, eh?
