Kentucky MBB's season-opening starters vs. Howard are...
Kentucky will be shorthanded to open the season vs. Howard, with Sahvir Wheeler (knee), Oscar Tshiebwe (knee) and Daimion Collins (personal) all missing the matchup. In their absence, the same batch of starters we saw in the Wildcats’ second exhibition matchup vs. Kentucky State.
Cason Wallace will lead the charge at the one, followed by CJ Fredrick and Chris Livingston on the wing and Jacob Toppin and Lance Ware down low to round out the starters.
Antonio Reeves, Ugonna Onyenso and Adou Thiero will all come off the bench, with Brennan Canada, Kareem Watkins and Walker Horn also available among walk-ons. Grant Darbyshire remains out, as well, on crutches dealing with a leg injury.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET, with the game broadcast live on SEC Network.
Time to start the season 1-0.
