WATCH: Kentucky vs. Minnesota State highlights, starring Brandon Garrison's poster dunk
There were a lot of fun moments in Kentucky’s 98-67 win over Minnesota State, but one stands above the rest. With 7:15 left in the second half, Brandon Garrison caught a pass from Collin Chandler and lept toward the basket, posterizing poor Minnesota State’s Harrison Braudis. It was one of six dunks for Kentucky tonight but by far the best. Garrison was one of four Cats who finished in double figures, totaling 12 points on 6-9 shooting.
As mentioned, there was a lot more to love in tonight’s game. Jaxson Robinson hit eight threes en route to 24 points. After a quiet first half, Andrew Carr came alive, scoring 12 of his 14 points after halftime. Otega Oweh kept the Cats alive during a sloppy start and finished with 15 points on 7-8 shooting to go along with six turnovers to zero steals. Lamont Butler only had six points but also totaled five assists and three steals and finished with a team-high +41 in plus/minus efficiency.
