WATCH: Top plays from Kentucky's win over Mississippi State
Mississippi State came into this game holding opponents to 75.3 points per game; Kentucky crossed that mark with six minutes left to play. At the end of the first half, it seemed the Cats might score 100 on the Bulldogs, but the pace of play slowed down a bit so they came up 10 short, beating Mississippi State 90-77.
As you might expect from another 90-point game, there are plenty of highlights to share. Antonio Reeves started the game on a tear, putting up 16 points in the first half to finish with a game-high 27. Rob Dillingham had some “wow” moments throughout the game, as did Reed Sheppard, who once again proved he’s one of the best passers in college basketball. Ugonna Onyenso, Tre Mitchell, and Aaron Bradshaw also played well. The start to the second half was ugly, but all in all, it was a good night at Rupp.
