The numbers behind Kentucky's 83-56 win over Missouri
Kentucky beat an SEC team by 27 points and you could argue the Cats didn’t play their best. How long has it been since we’ve said that? We’ll have plenty of coverage of Kentucky’s 83-56 win over Missouri tonight, but while we wait for John Calipari and the players to share their thoughts, let’s jump into the numbers. Here are a few that stood out to me:
- Obviously, Keion Brooks‘ best game of the season. He led the Cats in scoring with 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 FT), 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist and 1 turnover. He also led the team in efficiency, with +31.
- Despite having a bad night offensively, Oscar Tshiebwe still finished with a double-double, his tenth of the season. Big O had 13 points (2-10 FG, 9-10 FT) and 20 rebounds. He is a machine.
- Sahvir Wheeler had nine of Kentucky’s 12 assists. That team total is a little low, but you have to apprecaite Wheeler’s performance on a night he was struggling with cramps.
