UK Fans of the Day want Kentucky NFL Draft Prospect Rankings
The NFL Draft starts two weeks from tomorrow, and as such, pundits across the interwebs are rolling out content. Today, ESPN’s Matt Miller released his final prospect rankings. Even though there are only 259 picks across the seven rounds of the draft, Miller went the extra mile and ranked 368 players who hope to hear their names called in Kansas City later this month. There are five former Kentucky Wildcats in that group, four falling within the top 259.
Here’s where each Cat ranked overall and by position, and the grade they received from Miller:
- 25. Will Levis (90) – No. 4 QB
- 199. Carrington Valentine (60) – No. 29 CB
- 228. Chris Rodriguez Jr. (55) – No. 19 RB
- 247. Tashawn Manning (55) – No. 15 OG
- 338. DeAndre Square (50) – No. 24 ILB
Earlier this week, Dane Brugler unleashed “The Beast,” the most comprehensive NFL Draft guide in the industry. He only ranks the Top 100 draft prospects overall but ranks almost 1,900 prospects across 15 positions. As such, more former Cats made the cut:
- Will Levis – No. 14 overall, No. 4 QB, First Round
- Chris Rodriguez – No. 16 RB, 5th Round
- Carrington Valentine – No. 28 CB, 6th Round
- Keidron Smith – No. 39 CB, Free Agent
- Tashawn Manning – No. 21 OG, Free Agent
- Jordan Wright – No. 65 LB, Free Agent
- DeAndre Square – No. 98 LB, Free Agent
- Tyrell Ajian – No. 67 Safety, Free Agent
Just 15 days until the fun begins in Kansas City.
