Kentucky has more Top 15 wins than any program in the country this season, and yet, the oddsmakers aren’t big believers in the Wildcats making a deep run in the conference tournament.

According to FanDuel, Kentucky holds the fifth-best odds to win this week’s 2025 SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday. UK is a distant fifth too at +2500 odds, which is tied with Texas A&M. Auburn (+140), Florida (+250), Alabama (+500), and Tennessee (+600) — the bracket’s top four seeds, in order — all sit above the ‘Cats in the eyes of the bettors.

Not having a double-bye certainly hurts Kentucky’s chances; having to win four games in four days instead of three games in three days is obviously a tougher draw. But if any team outside of the top four could do it, UK and Texas A&M are the top choices. UK’s opening round opponent will be either Oklahoma or Georgia, two of the six teams tied for the lowest odds (+25000) to win the league title.

Kentucky will play in the late game on Thursday with tipoff in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena set for approximately 9:30 p.m. EST (SEC Network). UK beat Oklahoma on the road earlier this season but came up short against Georgia. Betting odds for that matchup will be released later this week. A win Thursday would push the ‘Cats into Friday night’s quarterfinals against Alabama.
