College football players across the country are not waiting to submit their names into the transfer portal when it officially opens on Wednesday. They’re getting ahead of free agency by sharing news a day early. Kentucky IOL Marc Nave is the latest to throw his name into the ring.

On3’s Pete Nakos reports that Nave will enter the transfer portal when it opens on Wednesday. He is the fifth Kentucky Wildcat to announce his departure following spring practice and the third offensive lineman.

A Toledo, Ohio native, Marc Nave initially committed to play college football at Ohio State. When he reopened his recruitment, Vince Marrow entered the picture. Nave took an official visit to Lexington and committed about a month before signing day.

Nave was listed at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds, during his one season in Lexington. He redshirted and appeared in only one game. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

There have been five different players from UK’s Class of 2024 that have entered the transfer portal. CB Quavo Marshall announced his intentions earlier on Tuesday. Nave was not expected to play a part in Kentucky’s offensive line rotation this fall after Eric Wolford hit the portal and signed five new additions to the Big Blue Wall.
