Kentucky offers 2025 PF Chris Cenac Jr. at NBPA Top 100 Camp
Today marked the start of the NCAA evaluation period at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, Florida, and Kentucky’s staff is already handing out offers. 2025 On3 five-star forward Chris Cenac Jr. posted on social media that he received an offer from Kentucky. Assistants Cody Fueger and Jason Hart watched the 6’10” 210 lbs. New Orleans native play at the event earlier today.
Cenac is considered the No. 26 overall player and the No. 7 power forward in the 2025 class in the On3 Industry Ranking, with On3’s latest 2025 rankings putting him much higher, at No. 6 overall and No. 3 among power forwards. Cenac has been one of the standout performers in Orlando so far this week, adding to his rising stock.
Last month, Kentucky assistant Alvin Brooks III watched Cenac in the Puma NXTPro circuit in Wichita, Kansas, after which he added offers from Ole Miss, Texas, Creighton, Kansas, Baylor, and Alabama. At the time, Cenac told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+ that he was intrigued by Kentucky’s new staff.
“I know it’s a whole new staff, so it’s something for me to look into more,” he said. “I just love the support they get as a school. I like what they’ve done in the past. Even though it’s a new coaching staff, as a school, they’ve brought a lot of talent out of there. That’s pretty good.”

Now, he’s got an offer from the Cats. On3 National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw has seen Cenac play several times and gave this reasoning for ranking him higher than other services.
While the numbers are in place and they are impressive, what first pops with Chris Cenac is his physical presence. Cenac is listed at 6-foot-10, he carries a plus-five (7-foot-3) wing span with broad shoulders and big hands. He also has a strong physical base that has consistently developed over the past six to eight months.
While he will need to continue adding strength to his core and upper body, his frame checks a lot of boxes as he continues to progress. Along with that frame, and gaining strength, Cenac also carries natural athletic fluidity. He is able to open his hips, change direction, and slide his feet. You can see a switchability factor in his game as he continues to learn the finer nuances of angles and defensive footwork.
With Cenac’s length and size, he is already a good rim protector and an excellent rebounder. He high-points the ball and collects control. From there Cenac is comfortable getting it to the guard and following the play or pushing the break and getting his team into a set. When he pushes the break, he is under control and rarely holds on to the ball for too long oftentimes getting rid of the ball by mid-court and getting it back to finish at the rim.
To that end, Cenac runs the floor very smoothly. He quickly switches ends as a long-strider and he attacks the front of the rim. It is unique to find a player both big and fluid with an athletic burst, Cenac naturally carries each of those traits, which starts the conversation for him.
Jamie Shaw, On3
Cenac is the 12th player with an offer from Kentucky in the 2025 class, joining Darius Acuff, Cayden Boozer, Malachi Moreno, Cameron Boozer, Caleb Wilson, Darryn Peterson, Meleek Thomas, Jasper Johnson, AJ Bybantsa, Koa Pete and Will Riley.
